Ā In this Open World afterschool program, students will research, propose, develop, and polish real-time role-playing games (RPGs) they can be proud of and share with friends and family. Over the course of this program, students will explore techniques for the pre-production, production, and post-production processes of software and game development. These techniques include: following a development process, learning and using discipline-based best practices and skills, iterating effectively, formal testing, tracking progress, and integrating design, art, audio, and programming into a single, cohesive experience.
New and returning students are welcome to join this class. New students will learn the fundamentals of game design, while returning students will sharpen their skills by building a new type of game.
