Robots explore Mars, engineers design rollercoasters, and scientists discover new materials – all using problem-solving through testing and building. Learning robotics and engineering reveals how the world works, from how machines move to why bridges stand strong, teaching Explorers to think like inventors who change the world with their ideas.
Explorers will code robots to navigate challenges while experimenting with different types of engineering – building structures, creating chemical reactions, and testing how things move and fly. Students discover how to control machines through programming and how engineers use science to solve important problems. Their ProjectFUN robot moves and thinks on its own – a mechanical creation they bring to life!
Projects in this workshop may include: Creating a robot that makes conditional decisions and creating a slime polymer.
*Please note that registration will require signing up through a portal on the St. Thomas School site. Open World tuition discounts and promotions will not be applicable to these registrations.
