Stop-motion animation brings toys to life through film-making magic – the same technique used in blockbuster movies and hit shows. Creating animated stories develops visual storytelling, patience, and creative problem-solving while teaching the fundamentals of timing, movement, and how to transform everyday objects into on-screen characters.
Explorers will learn animation principles and filming techniques to transform LEGO builds into moving stories with the Stop Motion Studio Pro app. By adding motion, stories, and editing, students discover how to bring static bricks to life. Then, by completing their ProjectFUN animated film, they can share their creations with friends and family.
Projects may include: Creating a scene of a LEGO mini-figure dance party and creating a racing scene with LEGO cars
*Please note that registration will require signing up through a portal on the St. Thomas School site. Open World tuition discounts and promotions will not be applicable to these registrations.
