Creating with our hands is an activity that goes back hundreds of thousands of years. Sculptures can be a deeply satisfying and even relaxing art, from the design stage, to creation, to display. Perfecting the techniques that go into sculpting can take years, but students can learn the fundamentals to ensure they have a great start to a lifelong passion—with pieces they can treasure for years to come.
This workshop for Adventurers starts off with the basic principles of character design, including animals, plants, and humanoids. Instructors will demonstrate several techniques and approaches to sculpting that students will attempt from concept to finished piece.
By the end of the workshop, students will have several well-designed, high-quality sculptures to take home and the know-how to continue the craft at home or at school.
It’s awesome to sit in the pickup line and just see all the wild haired kids come out and run to tell their parents what they did today. This is an awesome thing you have created and it’s sparking little fires of joy, curiosity, and creativity in a world so run by responsibility and expectations. Free expression and exploration is magic.
