In this Open World 10-week after-school class, students will make their own role-playing games. From start to finish, students will learn about the lifecycle of game development and develop their own games using the Smile Game Builder platform and Unity engine. They’ll explore fun and challenging techniques and practical skills, such as using a process, testing their game and making changes, and tracking their progress over time. This workshop combines art, music, design, and programming into one fun and social experience for young game enthusiasts.

[My son] rarely talks about what he does in a camp. So when he volunteered information at the end of each day I knew he was loving the camp. The small group allowed him to get to know some of his camp peers and his instructors really well. On the last day of camp, before I even asked his thoughts, he asked ‘do I have any more camps with DigiPen this summer?’ Then he immediately went on to say he wanted to sign up for a bunch of them next summer because he learned so much.
