Sound design and music transform flat visuals into immersive experiences, creating atmosphere, emotion, and excitement that images alone can’t achieve. Learning to compose music and craft sound effects teaches both technical audio skills and creative expression, giving creators the power to make scenes feel epic, tense, peaceful, or thrilling through carefully designed audio.
Innovators will compose original music and create custom sound effects for an existing game, learning to match audio to gameplay moments and player actions using professional audio tools. Students develop composition and sound design skills while discovering how to enhance interactive experiences through strategic audio choices. Their ProjectFUN soundtrack and sound library bring a game to life through audio they composed and designed, proving they can use sound to transform gameplay into something more artful and memorable.
Projects in this workshop may include: Implementing sound effects and music into a game or writing a theme with variations.
