Concept art invents things that don’t exist yet, from alien creatures to fantasy cities to futuristic vehicles. Designing original characters and worlds teaches creative thinking and visual problem-solving, giving artists the power to sketch new ideas quickly and bring them to life in ways that inspire others to build, animate, or reimagine them.
Adventurers will design original characters, creatures, environments, and props by exploring digital painting and illustration techniques. Students experiment with sketching ideas, developing designs through color and detail, and creating artwork that communicates their imaginative visions. Their ProjectFUN designs showcase worlds and characters they invented, demonstrating they can transform ideas into images others can see and understand.
Projects in this workshop may include: Creating a fully realized space battle scene or designing and painting a robot.
