Two-Week Workshop, Dates Offered:
Session 3 (7/21/25 – 8/1/25)
Tuition: $1999 $1599.20 with code EARLYBIRD_25
2D video games are a cornerstone of the industry and a constant source of innovation in game design and mechanics. The systems and mechanics behind modern video games continue to grow more and more complex, as does the intricate coding needed to manage it all. Designing and programming these games may seem daunting at first, but each developer entering the field needs to start somewhere.
Students in this Adventurers workshop will be introduced to the core concepts of game development while learning to use the Godot cross-platform game engine. Instructors will offer students a practical understanding of game development and the importance of well-coded front- and back-end systems to make video games work the way they should.
By the end of the workshop, students will be able to design, program, and iterate their own 2D game and its underlying systems.
Projects in this workshop may include: Developing a playable top-down maze game and programming a complex falling platformer game.
All-in-all this has been such a great experience.
