Creating 2D Games in Godot
Two-Week Workshop, Dates Offered:
Session 2 (7/6/26 – 7/17/26)
Tuition: $1999 $1599 with code EARLYBIRD_26
2D games let creators build anything from pixel-art adventures to fast-paced platformers to puzzle worlds that challenge players to hone their problem-solving skills. Learning to make games teaches how to turn wild ideas into playable realities, where characters jump, enemies chase, and levels surprise players with clever challenges and hidden secrets.
Adventurers will create their own 2D games filled with action, puzzles, and challenges they design. Students experiment with game mechanics while discovering how to make characters move smoothly, enemies behave smartly, and levels that surprise and engage players. Their ProjectFUN game becomes an adventure they code and build, proving they can create games worth playing again and again.
Projects in this workshop may include: Developing a playable top-down maze game and programming a complex falling platformer game.
