Join us for these upcoming Open World events:
After-School Workshop
Join us this spring for after-school workshops hosted at the DigiPen Redmond campus! Both of the classes listed below take place on the stated dates from 5:30 – 6:30PM.
- Jan. 27 – Apr. 21, 2026 (Tuesdays): Game Design for Young Programmers for ages 6-8. In this Open World afterschool program, students will develop a foundation for future programming and software development projects. They’ll develop this foundation in the context of working on their own games built with visual scripting that they can be proud of and share with friends and family.
- Jan. 28 – Apr. 22, 2026 (Wednesdays): Game Development from Start to Finish for ages 9-13. In this Open World 10-week after-school class, students will make their own metroidvania games. From start to finish, students will learn about the lifecycle of game development and develop their own games.
Discover Open World for Explorers and Adventurers
Discover Open World events are fun drop-off/pick-up events for students ages 5-13. These preview events give kids a sneak peek at what they can expect during a full-length Open World workshop during the summer.

- December 13, 2025, 1PM – 3PM (drop-off begins at 12:30PM)
- January 9, 2026, 6PM – 8PM (drop-off begins at 5:30)

Figure-Drawing Workshops for Innovators
Looking for the ultimate time-tested instruction in art? Enroll your Innovator (age 14-18) in a figure-drawing course, one of the fastest ways to practice and refine drawing ability. For students seeking a future in the arts, this is also a great way to begin building a portfolio of their work.
Each class takes place on Tuesdays, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, from Jan. 27 – Feb. 24, 2025. Please come to the main DigiPen Redmond campus for drop-off at our front entrance.

3D Printing Fall Workshops
Design unique creations in a one-day workshop, appropriate for students of all ages. During any four-hour course, you’ll learn how to design 3D objects and operate a high-quality 3D printer!
Students ages 13 or younger must be accompanied by an adult, but all parents/guardians are welcome to attend! Registration is $50 per student, with accompanying adults attending for free.
