Open World Partners with SimplyFun + Game Giveaway

Last week, we announced that Open World by DigiPen and SimplyFun, an award-winning math and STEM game developer, will be partnering to use SimplyFun’s board games in select Open World workshops this coming summer. Today, in celebration of the new relationship, we’re offering free SimplyFun games to anyone who registers for a summer workshop between now and April 1!

“Like our friends at SimplyFun, we also believe that ‘play changes everything,'” says Open World Vice President, Emily Kirby. “We are thrilled to be partnering with SimplyFun to share their thoughtfully designed board games with our students. Having played SimplyFun games with my own children, I’ve seen firsthand how quickly kids engage with these games, how much they learn, and how much fun they have. I can’t wait to watch Open World students have the same experience this summer!”

How to Get a Free SimplyFun Game

Promotional Period: Between today (March 13) and the end of the Early Bird deadline (April 1), while supplies last 

While registering for an Open World summer workshop, choose between two SimplyFun games: Team Digger or Amalgam. On your registration form, be sure to indicate which game you’d like to receive (see screenshot below). We’ll then reach out to you with a link to redeem your free game from SimplyFun!

  • Team Digger — Cooperative early coding game for ages 6 and up. Players create five-card sequences to move their dogs between dig sites.
  • Amalgam — Strategy and planning game for ages 10 and up. Players user their memory to gather and collect as many of the same type of ingredients as they can for the strongest result.

The free SimplyFun game giveaway ends April 1, 2023, so be sure to register for a summer workshop before then!
