Designing an Autonomous Vehicle
One-Week Workshop, Dates Offered:
Session 4B (8/11/24 – 8/15/25)
Tuition: $999 $799.20 with code EARLYBIRD_25
The design and development of autonomous vehicles like self-driving cars incorporates elements of engineering, artificial intelligence, industrial design, and much more. For students looking to enter a fascinating, hands-on field with plenty of avenues for specialization, autonomous vehicles offer many opportunities.
This workshop for Adventurers takes an expanded look into different ways vehicles can be made autonomous. Instructors will demonstrate the various hardware and software that must work in concert to create reliable, self-driving systems.
By the end of the week, each Adventurer will be able to create an electronic autonomous vehicle that they can play with (and improve) at home.
Projects in this workshop may include: Creating a model car that can follow a line or programming a vehicle that can detect a “cliff”
When asked by some family friends what she is doing [at camp], how her week is going, [my daughter] replied: ‘THIS IS THE BEST WEEK OF MY LIIIIIIIIFE!’
