A Day in the
Life at Camp

Open World’s daily, drop-off/pick-up workshops offer students something they can really look forward to each summer.

Parents and guardians can rest assured that students are supervised throughout the day, and kids will feel seen, heard, and cared for the entire time they’re with us.

While every workshop has a unique schedule and curriculum, below you can find a rough schedule describing an example day at an Open World workshop.

Morning

Morning sessions at our DigiPen Redmond campus begin at 9 a.m., with drop-off at 8:30 a.m. Morning sessions at our Cascadia College Bothell campus begin at 8:30 a.m., with drop-off at 8:00 a.m. All students will have a mid-morning break, during which they can munch on snacks and do puzzles with friends or other creative activities.

Lunch

Students will eat lunch in different time slots, based on age group. Provided lunch is an optional add-on. Otherwise, students should bring their own lunches from home. For students who will be eating provided lunch, menus are available here: Bytes Cafe (DigiPen Redmond) Urban Kitchen (Cascadia College).

After lunch, students can get out some energy by playing optional outdoor games, weather permitting.

Afternoon

Like with morning sessions, afternoon sessions will include a 15-minute break. At the end of the day, pick-up begins at 4 p.m. (DigiPen Redmond) or 3:30 p.m. (Cascadia College).

Optional Add-On Afternoon Care

When registering for a workshop, parents can add an optional two-hour Extended Day Program that includes games, activities, and other fun, one-off projects to take home.
