Minecraft Civilization Builders
Dates:
- Session 4 (August 2-13, 2027) @ DigiPen
Early Bird Price: $1999 $1599.20
Location: DigiPen (Redmond, WA)
Description:
Every great castle, walled town, and city started as a few tents around a campfire. Long before modern engineering, people had to figure out where to settle, what to build with, and how to protect what they made from storms, fires, floods, and rivals. The choices they made still shape how our towns and cities work today.
In this two-week Adventurers workshop, students will found their own civilization in a shared Minecraft world and grow it from a humble nomad camp into a village, a fortress, and finally a walled city full of citizens. Along the way, they’ll create a name, crest, and banners for their people, form alliances with their classmates, and learn real architectural ideas by helping them to survive: choosing the right building site, picking strong materials, and planning for disasters. Students interested in building and design can eventually find themselves in exciting careers in architecture, urban planning, game design, and more!
By the end of the two weeks, each Adventurer will put their civilization to the ultimate test by facing a world-shaking cataclysm, then share the story of how their people built, adapted, and endured.
